He aims to set a strict example for those under the Sacred Law, and to dispense justice fairly and evenly.

Raised in Houston, Gregory grew up in the historic Fifth Ward and Trinity Garden communities. He developed and owned First National Homes, Inc., a single-family construction company, and eventually retired from his real-estate rural development company, Solomon & Boaz Development and Construction, named after his grandson.

Gregory's deep commitment to Masonry is reflected in his journey: he was initiated, passed, and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason in True Level Masonic Lodge #226 under the leadership of WM Charles Newton. He has served in every position within his local lodge and has held prestigious roles such as Grand High Priest of John Henry Birch #1 and Arthur Banks #1 (Royal Arch Masons), Grand Eminent Commander in Sanderson Commanders #1 and Charles Newton Commanders #1 (Knights of Templar), Commander-In-Chief of Douglass Burrell Consistory #56 and Melvin Thomas Consistory #1 (Scottish Rite), and Chief Rabban at Doris Temple and Mojave Temple #2 (Shriners AAONMS).
